I've been trying to list my products on different sites. I tried Shophandmade.com, which is currently running a very anti-Etsy campaign, Etsy, and Dawanda.com.
Both shophandmade.com and Dawanda are free to list, which is a big appeal. On shophandmade you can get a large company to sponsor you and are able to save the rain forest with sale.
Dawanda is free to list but does take a percentage from the sale. It is a German based company which allows you to get more international attention, you can list in three different languages, English, German and French. Which is great but not for someone like me who can't speak, or write anything but English and some limited Spanish.
Etsy is okay, to me it is easy to list and the forums are fast moving, unlike Dawanda, and shophandmade doesn't seem to have any.
Overall, I'm still looking for the best place for me to sell. None of them are that great for me. On Etsy in the past 8 months I have made 1 or less sale a month and on the other two in about a month nothing. I'm going to continue using all three sites and see which ones take off.
Let me know if there are any other sites that you use and find wonderful. I'm always looking for new places.
